Working here for the next week
See you next Monday! Go Indians!
I missed last year's show and nearly missed it again this year because we've been SO busy here at the studio. I hope many of you blokes can attend! I have some work being shown (although, I don't know what they chose). Click here for more information.
Here's a few ads I shot with Grip for Wahl. Just like every profession, there's the Crème de la Crème. Wahl is one of those companies in their industry. Sure, all of us have had our hair buzzed, shaved, curled, blow-dried, clipped and trimmed by hair products in our barber shops and salons. But have you been Wahl'd? You'd know. Quality. Perfection. Innovation.
Today's behind the scenes! I still don't know what Mark is smiling at, and it makes me uncomfortable. It was such a pleasure to work with the Art Director Julia from AbelsonTaylor on this job. She definitely brightened the whole studio with her wit and energy!
Thanks to another stellar team!
Julia, the famous Art Director
Julie T, the famous stylist
Ashley B, the 'I can make anyone's skin flawless' makeup artist
Mark D & Josh R, the high-fiver and trusty sidekick 'black-eyed bather'
And me, the professional hip-swayer. Woop woop!
Another great start to a fun campaign with the fantastic folks at AbelsonTaylor again! Thanks to Julie for making the most beautiful lettuce, tomato and fork combination and to Mark for not eating it before it was handed to the talent.
We're giving the studio a little facelift this week! Rest assured, we will not go over board like Jocelyn Wildenstein, Kenny Rogers and Michael Jackson. Promise!
One of the MOST influential and creative people in my life just updated her online portfolio. Deb is one of the country's best designer/flash programmer (and most likely, the world). If you're lucky enough to hire her to design for you, please put your seatbelt on because you'll be elevated to a higher level in the online community and in your profession. And PLEASE READ HER BIO! It is one of the most inspirational, witty, creative and endearing bios you will ever read. Click here!
From time to time, I work with theatre companies around town and around the country to create imagery for upcoming productions. Here are some past and present posters I've created for Timeline Theatre Company here in Chicago. They're an amazing theatre company and their shows shouldn't be missed.
Thank you E-Sushi for featuring my work today! Check out E-Sushi for a daily dose of cool stuff in the design, art and photography world!
Here's a recent ad I shot for Hampton Inn! It was a BLAST to shoot and Anthony, our famous talent, kicked ass jumping over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over! Look for it in magazines, posters and on the web over the next few months!
Agency: DraftFCB Chicago
AD: Lauren Watson (Rockstar!!)
AB: Cameo Amato
Makeup: Ashley Bourdon
Assistants: Seth Mooney & Ben Speckman
Look what just arrived down the block from the studio! Kurt Perschke's RedBall Project has taken over Wishbone's outdoor patio! Look for this fun and whimsical project throughout the city! It will be popping up in the most random places.
In stores now and for a limited time only (at least until next week's issue hits the shelves)! We had a blast shooting for Time Out Chicago for the issue on 'green' alleys. On the right is a fun outtake with a major faceplant to Joe's face. Ouch!
A BIG thank you to the one and only Julie at Planet Earth Agency for hooking me up with some fantastic new talent! Yeow!
Well, not really. But you can catch glimpses of me in action from our photoshoot with Kid Sister in this behind-the-scenes video!
